Four-Bean Turkey White Chili
This is filled with lots of texture and plenty of heat.
Cooking Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Servings: 10
Ingredients: • 1 cup habanero salsa - or to taste; this is spicy
• 1 small jar chopped chili pepper
• 1 15 oz. kidney beans
• 1 15 oz. can of chili beans
• 1 15. oz. can black beans
• 1 15 oz. can pinto beans
• 1 cup beef broth
• ¼ cup red wine
• 1 chopped onion
• 4 minced garlic cloves
• 2 tbsp. chili powder
• 2 tbsp. cumin
• 1 tsp. olive oil
• 1 lb. ground turkey
• 1 lb. chopped chorizo sausage
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients except the ground turkey and sausage in a large pot.
2. Bring the liquid to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
3. Simmer for 20 minutes. 4. In the meantime, heat the oil in a skillet and brown the turkey and sausage or 10 minutes.
5. Stir the browned turkey and sausage into the pot and simmer for 1 hour.
